Commercial Overhead Doors for an Instant Makeover
There are various reasons for installing new roll up doors or security doors other than a more protected storefront—it can also do wonders for curb appeal. For many commercial spaces, those roller grilles take up a lot of real estate, providing a first impression to a number of passersby. What does an old door with peeling paint, rust spots and even graffiti say to your potential customers? It instantly lowers the value of your brand, products and services, and might even drive away customers.
It’s easy to forget about appearances outside of operating hours. After all, when your shop is open the doors are often out of the way. However, there’s a lot of “traffic” whether you’re in a strip mall or other commercial space. Maybe that morning mall walker has been looking for the exact product you have, but is driven away by the unseemly appearance of your locked up shop.
Maximize Your Real Estate
For some businesses, 99 percent of what customers see when the doors are closed are your overhead doors—for better or worse. You should always be marketing and conducting outreach, and it all starts with first impressions. How many passersby do you think go past your doors every day and night before or after hours? Those are all potential customers turned missed opportunities.
You take pride in creating gorgeous window displays if possible, drafting attractive newsletters and have a big say in how those banners and signage look. However, if you’re depending on worn out and ratty looking doors, that’s not giving your business the competitive edge it needs. Your customers will think that if you can’t be bothered to ensure the exterior quality of your business, why would you bother with the actual products?
Summer is the best time to install new overhead doors simply because it’s vacation season (which means more tourists) and longer days mean your doors are on display more. Plus, it’s months away from the holiday season, which buys you the luxury of time.
Make this the summer of positive change for your business, starting from the outside in. It’s amazing what a little update will do, and can make a business look like it had a complete remodel. It’s the most affordable makeover imaginable, and even ups the security factor, too.
